Photo - Christina Maria Oswald

When i was laying out this blog template in photoshop i grabbed an image from my browser as a place holder for big images. I lost the url for this picture and had no idea what it was. The photo grew on me it has that something. Today it surfaced in a feed in my bloglines reader. And here it is.

It is the photography site of Christina Maria Oswald. Lovely welcoming picture. Nice work.

Thanks to ffffound.com and www.booooooom.com making me find this again.

Bill Durgin photography

Some reallynice pictures from Bill Durgin. Very pleasing images touching on the grotesque. Check out the “Edible-” and the “Figure studies”-series. That octopuss slithering on the grapes, beastly. Visit.

Dusturbing themepark from Snailbooty - a Flickr photostream

snailbooty

Found this stream in Flickr. Disturbing funnies. Dolls and drawings. Montages  and layered setups. A great stream of pictures crafted from dedication, insanity and heart. Get a bag of crisps and sift through it all. Click the Snails booty…

Nice photos from two flickr users

flickr_chomdeeflickr_hweeeeeee

While surfing around Flickr, reading comments and looking at profiles I discovered these two peoples photos. Really nice camera work with different cameras and techniques. Worth a visit.

Everyone loves these objects - beards - pipes - etc

It seems that some objects are just more appealing than others in illustration. I’ve been there myself doing the birds, pipes and glasses.

Maybe these objects and motives are more eccentric than others. The pipes and the beards surely connotate some kind of gender  explanation. We have all seen the mass of birds illustrative as hell or simplified to inkblots. This just in: Bird+pipe.

And i just love it. Examples:

Some beards (more here)

Ah, lovely…

My daughter experiments with camera

It was nice seeing her watching the lcd on the back of the camera after she had been trying to take a photo of “something”. Picking it up, looking, adjusting, taking another photo, looking.

“Landschaften” is an ongoing work about the relationship of reality and its image. Digitally altered or constructed photographs of implausible landscapes.

I would really like to see the retouching and treatment behind these pictures. Original photo to this. Surreal in a simple way.

Found via Surfstation and but does it float.

The new theme/blog is running…

Theme is running on most recent wordpress install. Now i feel spurred to start blogging a bit more frequently.

The blog will focus mostly on inspirational graphic design and art. But in a while i will try to add pages with a sort of portfolio and a extended download section.

I will probably extend the theme with another sidebar to the right. If any old visitors who liked the Furry Palms theme got an interest in this theme i will see what i can do, it is not really optimised for release.

This theme is focused on ease of updating, simple graphics, serif typography and blackness. The logo “Hur många O’n” is set in Baskerville old face, i really like those g’s.

Contact me in the comments.

Ouch!

I really need to make a new theme soon and change all this…..

New theme is up. Let there be posts!
